Just had a bike accident myself. Lacerated my kidney, broke my back in 4 places, 2 broken fingers & a broken ankle. But the road rash is a pain in the backside to treat. Hospitals were using betadine to treat it and dressing it, now home i have daily dressing done by nurses and they were doing the same but now this new nurse is saying its wrong to dry it out too much and to now dress with moisturiser. What are your thoughts guys? Id appreciate a bikers perspective rather than someone who learnt in a classroom, not to knock our healthcare workers because they truly did save my life.
